This policy explains how Tanta Limited (FSP736931) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information, and the rights you have under the Privacy Act 2020. Because we help you with home loans and KiwiSaver, some of the information we handle is sensitive, so we take looking after it seriously.

The information we collect

Depending on the advice you need, we may collect:

• Contact details such as your name, email, phone number and address.
• Identification, such as a copy of your ID and your date of birth.
• Financial information, such as your income, expenses, assets, debts, bank statements and KiwiSaver details.
• Information you give us through our website, including enquiry and booking forms, quizzes, and email sign-ups.
• Basic technical information when you use our website, such as the pages you visit, collected through analytics and cookies.

How we collect it

Most of the information we hold comes directly from you, when you talk to us, fill in a form, or send us documents. With your authority, we may also collect information from third parties such as banks, lenders, KiwiSaver providers and credit reporting agencies, where it's needed to give you advice or arrange a product.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Provide you with mortgage and KiwiSaver advice.
• Apply for loans and products on your behalf with lenders and providers.
• Meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed Financial Advice Provider.
• Keep in touch with you about your loan, and send you relevant updates. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where it's needed to provide our service or where the law requires it. That may include:

• Lenders and product providers (banks and KiwiSaver providers) to arrange the loan or product you've asked for.
• Our mortgage aggregator and relevant industry bodies, as part of how the advice industry operates.
• Service providers who help us run our business, such as our email and client-management systems, under confidentiality obligations.
• Government agencies or others where we're required or permitted by law.

We never sell your personal information.

Cookies and our website

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to help it work and to understand how people use it, including analytics and advertising tools provided by third parties such as Google and Meta. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

How we store and protect your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and to protect it from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it to provide our service and to meet our legal and regulatory record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely disposed of.
